General Hospital spoilers reveal Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) was caught between a rock and a hard place when Laura Collins (Genie Francis) laid her eyes on Esme’s single red glove insisting she knew where she lost the other one.
Esme copped to having broken into Wyndemere, but she certainly wasn’t expecting Laura to suggest she needed to turn herself in for committing a crime.
The last thing Esme needs right now is a rap sheet or more shame to carry around, but Laura is intent on seeing her through the process.
Esme was flawless at delivering a quick response as to why she broke into the damp island manor. But that doesn’t mean Laura was as quick to believe her.
General Hospital Spoilers — Esme Tells a Tale
When it comes to lying, Esme is no amateur, and Laura doesn't really have much experience with that side of Esme. She might therefore be deceived by her innocence and readiness to speak the truth. Laura, though, is no novice.
More than likely, she feels like something is off and wants to know what Esme is up to. Laura may be exerting pressure on Esme to turn herself in in order to determine whether or not she truly remembers anything, given that she is aware that she would be questioned.
GH Spoilers Hint This is a Test
Laura will be watching to see if any mistakes are made if Esme is asked to respond to repeated interrogations by people like Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) and Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna).
Will she make a mistake when explaining to them how she spent her Christmas Eve night? Could she say something that reveals to Laura that Esme knows things about the past that she shouldn't be able to recall?

General Hospital Spoilers — What Comes Next?
If Laura discovers that Esme remembers more than she is letting on, she might conclude that waiting for Esme to blow up her own life is the best course of action for discovering the truth.
Naturally, doing so will put Ace Cassadine (Jay and Joey Clay) at danger, but Laura genuinely thinks Esme would never wish for Ace to suffer harm.
In actuality, even though she is a law-abiding woman, she also has no great desire for Esme to be taken to jail.
Ace would then be under her and Spencer Cassadine's (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) care, and she doesn't want Spencer to try to take on the role of Ace's father once more.
