Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers suggest that fans should brace for a major character return in November. Michael Baldwin has been MIA in Genoa City as of late, and audiences have missed the funny, charming, and good-hearted lawyer.
The good news is, viewers will see him celebrate with his family during some special Thanksgiving episodes, coming soon. The bad news is his portrayer, Christian LeBlanc, recently revealed the reason behind Baldwin’s absence on screen was his cancer diagnosis.
The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Christian LeBlanc Opens Up
In a recent interview, LeBlanc discussed receiving a cancer diagnosis with WWL TV. He makes the observation that life can be imitated in art because his Y&R character himself battled cancer at one point. According to Christian, his myeloma diagnosis came about in June of this year.
A loose ring and mild nose bleeding were among the warning signs. However, his drooping eye was a reason for concern; supporters worried too after noticing this on social media.
The actor states that following therapy, he is currently in remission from a tumour that was pressing on his optic nerve.

LeBlanc's illness caused him to lose more than thirty pounds, but the physicians have told him to eat a lot while he heals. He is thrilled to be back at work and is doing much better now!
Fans should get ready for not just Michael Baldwin's comeback, but also the reunion of the entire Baldwin-Fisher family, as Y&R regulars Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson), Gloria Bardwell (Judith Chapman), and Kevin Fisher (Greg Rikaart) are all scheduled to return to GC for Thanksgiving.
