Home And Away star Kate Ritchie spots a stunning rainbow on 'freezing' day

 

After overcoming a challenging period in which she was accused of driving under the influence, Kate Ritchie has had a new lease on life. 


And on a chilly Sydney day on Monday, the former Home and Away star seemed to be in great spirits as she set out on a walk. 


The 44-year-old posted a picture of her stunning view to Instagram after spotting a rainbow. 

She captioned the image, which showed her dressed in a sweater and leggings, "Worth freezing for...

Kate recently thought back on her choice to seek professional assistance following her shocking DUI arrest in August.

Ritchie visited a prestigious private mental health hospital in Sydney in December, according to Daily Mail Australia, to assist address her alcoholism.

According to the former Home and Away star, who struggled with a number of personal issues last year, she decided it was time to get treatment.

It took a while for it to happen. I looked for the assistance I required from professionals. There are moments when enough is enough, she said. 

Additionally, the actress recently claimed that her role in the true-crime drama The Claremont Murders on Channel Seven helped'reignite' her passion for acting. 

Sarah Spiers, a real-life Western Australian lady whose daughter vanished in Claremont in 1996 and has never been found, is played by Kate in the two-part miniseries. 

She told The West Australian, "Working on this project in Perth, being on set, and surrounding myself with good people has undoubtedly reignited something in me." 

The chance to work on this and see it all come together has made me think of a lot of things. Most significantly, a passion that dates back a long time, she continued.  

After a decade away from the industry, Kate is making a comeback with her new job. 

She added to the article by saying that throughout her performance, she made an effort to be "respectful" to the actual victims of the Claremont incident. 

It truly is a story that belongs to the affected families and the larger Perth community. The mother of one stated, "I knew the recounting of this story was in good hands, so I was, too.

The gripping series offers a previously unseen account of the extraordinary police investigation work in Western Australia that resulted in the killer's capture in 2016.

Kate co-stars with a number of seasoned actors, including Ryan Johnson, 44, from Home and Away, and Erik Thomson from Packed to the Rafters.
